More reservations. More orders.
A menu people can actually read on a phone.

Restaurant websites that are fast, easy to use one-handed, and built to WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, tested before launch.

Restaurant websites

Your website has one job: get people through the door.

Most people decide where to eat on their phone, in about a minute, usually while standing somewhere. If your menu is a blurry PDF, your hours are wrong on Google, or the reservation button does not work, they pick the place down the street.

We build restaurant sites that answer the three questions fast: what do you serve, are you open, and how do I get a table or get there.

What every restaurant site includes

  • A menu built as real text, not a PDF or a photo, so it reads on any phone and shows up in Google
  • Reservations and online ordering connected to what you already use: OpenTable, Resy, Toast, Square, DoorDash or your own system
  • Hours, location, parking and directions in one tap
  • Google Business Profile and Google Maps set up to match the site, so your hours and menu are right everywhere
  • Photos that load fast and look like your food
  • Specials, events and private dining pages you can update yourself
  • Built to WCAG 2.2 AA and tested with industry-standard accessibility tools
  • Accessibility statement included

If you got a letter

Got a demand letter about your website?
Start with a site built to the standard.

Restaurants are one of the most common targets for website accessibility demand letters. The letters usually list specific problems: a menu that screen readers cannot read, images with no descriptions, buttons that do not work from a keyboard, colors that are hard to see.

We build the new site to WCAG 2.2 AA, test it with the tools accessibility auditors use, resolve the items named in the letter, and give you an accessibility statement and dated test results you can hand to your attorney.

We are not attorneys and we do not give legal advice. If you have a letter, talk to a lawyer about the letter. Talk to us about the website.

Accessibility built in

Built accessible from day one.

About one in four adults in the United States lives with a disability, according to the CDC. An accessible website is easier for them to use, and easier for everyone else too: text you can read, buttons you can tap, forms that work, a menu that makes sense on a phone.

It is also the standard most demand letters and settlement agreements reference. We build every site to it and test before launch, the same way an accessibility auditor would.

Nobody can promise you will never get a letter, and we do not give legal advice. What we can promise: the site is built to the standard, tested with the tools auditors use, and documented.

What built in means here

  • Built to WCAG 2.2 AA, the current version of the web accessibility standard
  • Tested with industry-standard accessibility tools before launch
  • Accessibility statement included with every site
  • Built into the code. No overlay widgets, ever.
  • Keyboard, screen reader and color contrast checked by hand, not just by software
Case study

A Central Florida restaurant, rebuilt from scratch.

The owner received an ADA demand letter about the restaurant's website. We rebuilt the site from the ground up: a new design, a menu that reads clearly on a phone, and accessibility built into every page.

Before launch it passed four industry accessibility testing tools, Deque axe-core, IBM Equal Access, Squiz HTML_CodeSniffer and WebAIM WAVE, with zero errors on every page. Every barrier listed in the letter was resolved.

After launch

Keep it running. Keep it full.

After launch we can keep the site fast, secure and current: hosting, updates, menu and hours changes, and quarterly accessibility re-testing, so the site stays within the standard as browsers and rules change. Ask about it on the call.

And once the site is live, we can keep the phone ringing and the tables full with local search and ads. See our marketing services.

Questions

Straight answers.

Can you connect my reservation or ordering system?

Yes. We connect the site to what you already use, whether that is OpenTable, Resy, Toast, Square, DoorDash or your own system, so nothing changes for the kitchen or the front of house.

Why not just post the menu as a PDF?

A PDF menu is hard to read on a phone, often unreadable for screen readers, and invisible to Google. A menu built as real text is easier for customers, easier for search, and it removes one of the most common items in accessibility demand letters.

I got a demand letter. Can you make it go away?

No, and be careful with anyone who says they can. We are not attorneys. What we do is build a site to WCAG 2.2 AA, test it with industry-standard tools, resolve the items named in the letter, and document all of it. Your attorney handles the letter.

Can I update the menu myself?

Yes. Menus, specials, hours and events are set up so you or your manager can change them without calling anyone.

How long does it take?

It depends on the size of the site and how quickly we get menus, photos and feedback from you. If a letter has you on a deadline, say so on the call and we plan the build around it.
